First day in CCA

Today, I went for the first time to my CCA, Wushu. It was not as tough as I thought it would be. Surprisingly, there were more guys than girls, which was the opposite of previous years.

After everyone was gathered, we proceeded to the first and most important part of the CCA -- warm-up! Stretching and swinging of the legs were not too difficult but the worst had yet to come! The captain of the club (he allowed us to address him as captain) requested us to do splits. It was so hilarious as none of us was able to spilt perfectly. However, he assured us that girls would be able to master it by 6 months while guys would take almost a year.

Next, we proceeded to some of the basic moves of learning Wushu. We learnt 5 moves today but I only remembered two of the names: 弓步冲拳 and 弹腿 。

The base of my shoes together with the floor made it too slippery, that there was no friction and I kept sliding down when doing the moves. I was so embarrassed when I kept doing splits instead of the moves (when we were sort of doing 弓步冲拳) as it was simply too slippery in the hall. Overall, it was fun and enriching.

I hope that I will perform the moves better, like I will be able to kick higher or even hit with more force! A few more weeks later, we will play with weapons and we will be able to choose the weapon that we would like to practise! Yeah! I think I am going to pick swords! Hohoho...

NEw School, New term, New beginnings..

I understand that it had been a long time since the last post, so that is why I am posting about the past few days.

I attended a new school, Millennia Institute, after graduated from Kranji Secondary School. With a new school, there is a new term, a new beginning!

Firstly, I shall start with my new school's CCA open house! I submitted the CCA option form already and my first choice is Martials Arts: Wushu! Wahahahaha!

A variety of CCA booths were setup and the Drama Club was the most pitiful of them all. There were joker, witch, queen and etc. All of them had to wear costumes under the extremely hot sun. o.O

The Joker and one of my senior or OGL, MiLa!
I asked Joker for the whereabouts of Batman but he just stared at me....
The performance of the school's AngKlung & Kulintang Ensemble that won gold! WOW! I had to admit that the songs played were laudable!

The Chinese Cultural Society (CCS), cute right?

Secondly, we also played the Mystery Game where we had to find the murderer at night within the school compound. (of course, who would go outside the school compound to search for a murderer?) The victims and the murderer were acted out by our school's Student Councilors.

A round of applause for them! =D
